The Hockeyfest International Youth Tournament has been held each year since 1998. It gives national teams from developing hockey nations the opportunity to play against strong school, club, regional, provincial and representative teams from developed hockey nations.

At the Beijing Olympics alone, over 35 players and coaches who were involved, had participated at Hockeyfest in Sydney over the years.
